One of my favorite entertainers, comedienne Kathy Griffin, turns 52 years old today (allegedly)! As a tribute to Kathy, I created some Kathy-themed decorated cookies in the hopes that one day she will see this and become my friend forever.
Read more fawning praise, after the jump…
Kathy Griffin, for those of you who don’t know her (WHY?!), is not only a comedienne, she is an actress (Suddenly Susan), reality star (Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List), Grammy nominee, talk show host (Kathy), activist, author, and double Emmy Award winner. She also has a bitchin’ bikini bod.
In honor of all she’s done, I created several custom cookies to celebrate Miss Kathy’s big day.
Kathy’s talk show on Bravo, Kathy, is a hoot-and-a-half. I recreated the show’s logo in cookie form. I did a separate cookie of Kathy’s silhouette from the logo. Both of these cookies were created using a custom template because, sadly, there is no Kathy Griffin cookie cutter in existence. Sad.
I also created Emmy Award cookies to celebrate Kathy’s double win for her reality show Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List.
I created two Emmy cookies because Kathy is a two-time winner, and no doubt she would not let me forget it if I only made one.
Also, congratulations to Kathy’s mother, Maggie, who birthed out a screaming Baby Kathy 52 years ago, and has not yet found a way to quiet her (much to my delight). Have a drink to celebrate, Maggie!
Kathy, if you’re reading this, Happy Birthday!
As always, Happy Baking!
